Four Honored for Commitment to Yaddo
Saratoga Springs, NY (September 30, 2010) –
At its recent annual meeting in Saratoga Springs, the Board of Directors and Membership elected four individuals with a long record of service to Yaddo as lifetime members of The Corporation.
Those recognized for their commitment to Yaddo’s mission were writer Gardner McFall and sculptor Jill Viney, both former guest artists and New York City residents; Nancy Lampton, Chairman and CEO of American Life and Accident Insurance Company of Louisville, Kentucky; and Geoffrey Movius of Cambridge, Massachusetts, a retired Harvard College development officer.
"Part of the magic of Yaddo is the loyalty and love that it elicits among the artists who are transformed and inspired by their time here, and among those in the business and educational communities who understand the value of the gift of time and space that we provide" said Elaina Richardson, Yaddo's president. "These elections to lifetime membership signify the Corporation’s appreciation and respect for the dedication of each of those honored."
