2007 Yaddo Summer Benefit

More than 200 people gathered at the Yaddo Mansion on June 5 for the 2007 Yaddo Summer Benefit, where the internationally acclaimed Ying Quartet honored Yaddo’s composers with a program highlighted by musical selections written by Yaddo composers Vivian Fung and Zhou Long. Yaddo composer George Tsontakis, a Director of The Corporation of Yaddo, coordinated the program, which raised well over $100,000 to support Yaddo’s artists’ residency program. Thanks to the generosity of the Capital Region community and the hard work of the members of the benefit committees, more than 90 percent of the proceeds from the benefit will be devoted directly to the artists’ program. This year’s committee chairs were Claudia Olsen, Patty HasBrouck, and Anne Palamountain.
