Blakelock Painting Finds Temporary Home

For the next six months, one of Yaddo’s treasures, Ralph Albert Blakelock’s sublime painting, Indian Ocean, will be on loan to the Thomas Cole National Historic Site in Catskill, New York, as part of the exhibition Ralph Albert Blakelock: Paintings, Drawings and Watercolors. Indian River-- which was one of Blakelock’s final works and normally hangs in the President’s office-- can be viewed along with more than 15 other Blakelock works, from May 1 to October 30, 2004.
