Application Information

Yaddo is not accepting applications at this time. The next application deadline will be August 1, 2011 for residencies beginning in November of 2011 and extending through mid-May of 2012. We will begin to accept applications for this deadline in April, 2011. The final submission deadline will be midnight, Eastern Standard Time, August 1, 2011.

All applications are now electronic through our online application portal: Yaddo.slideroom.com. We no longer accept paper applications. Individual application information, professional resumes, and work samples (PDF files, visual images, video and P3 files) may be securely uploaded to the online site. Beginning with the August 1, 2011 deadline, sponsor letters will be accepted only electronically as we begin to phase out paper recommendation letters. If you have applied to Yaddo before, or been in residence within the last five years, please contact the office well in advance of the deadline to confirm that you have current reference letters on file. Applicants will be asked to pay the application fee by credit card, which includes Yaddo’s $30 base fee and an additional variable fee for media upload.

We recommend that if you are interested in applying to Yaddo, that you read the instructions on the Yaddo website before beginning your application. We also recommend you allow enough time to complete the application well in advance of the deadline to avoid last minute problems that could affect your ability to finish your submission in time. We do not accept applications past our established deadlines.
