Residency Applications Due August 1

Saratoga Springs, NY (April 30, 2011) - The next application deadline is August 1, 2011, for residencies beginning in November of 2011 and extending through mid-May of 2012. We are now accepting applications for the August deadline. The final submission deadline will be midnight, Eastern Standard Time, August 1, 2011.

Paper applications are no longer accepted at Yaddo. Individual application information, professional resumes, and work samples (PDF files, visual images, video, and MP3 files) may be securely uploaded to our online application portal: Yaddo.slideroom.com. Beginning with the August 1, 2011 deadline, new letters of recommendation will be accepted only electronically in order to phase out paper recommendation letters. If you have previously applied to Yaddo, or have been in residence within the last five years, please contact the office well in advance of the deadline to confirm that you have current reference letters on file. The application fee, payable by credit card, includes Yaddo's $30 base fee and an additional variable fee for media upload.

If you are interested in applying to Yaddo, we strongly recommend that you read the instructions on the Yaddo web site before beginning your application. We also recommend you allow enough time to complete the application well in advance of the deadline to avoid last minute problems that could affect your ability to finish your submission in time.
