Yaddo Artists Converge in Los Angeles
Celebrate 100 years of Yaddo — the storied “place for us” (Leonard Bernstein) that has nurtured generations of writers, composers, filmmakers, and visual artists. Co-hosted by Nathan Barr and Matthew Carnahan, this evening brings together Yaddo artists and friends at Bandrika, L.A.'s premiere recording studio and home to the historic Wurlitzer pipe organ once played on the Fox Studios lot.

About Our Hosts
Nathan Barr is an Emmy-winning composer and the founder of Bandrika. Since launching his career in Los Angeles in 1998, Barr has earned widespread acclaim for his musical versatility and his signature use of unconventional instruments in film and television scoring. His credits span The Americans (starring Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys), HBO's True Blood, Hulu's The Great, Prime Video's 56 Days, Warner Bros.' Salem's Lot, Apple TV's The Morning Show, and Ryan Murphy's Netflix series Hollywood.
Matthew Carnahan is an acclaimed film producer and writer whose path to Hollywood ran through 77 different jobs — from deckhand to circus worker. A graduate of NYU and the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre, Carnahan began as a playwright and director in New York before receiving the Chesterfield Writer's Film Project fellowship from Steven Spielberg. His directorial debut, Black Circle Boys, premiered at Sundance, as did his film Mailman. He also directed Rudyland, an award-winning documentary on former NYC mayor Rudolph Giuliani, and is the author of Serpent Girl and Copping Free.
