FAQs
How many people will be on each tour?
Each tour session will be divided into 14 groups of 25, with the capacity of 350 total visitors.
How long is the tour?
The tour is approximately 90 minutes.
How is the tour structured?
Tour guides will lead each group to different stops where stationary docents will provide more information. One guide and an assistant will be assigned per group.
Is special clothing or footwear required?
The tour will go on rain or shine. Please come prepared to walk outside on varied terrain including gravel paths as well as indoors, including stairs. Please note: Our historic buildings have limited accessibility. Please contact us in advance to discuss accessibility needs.
What if I miss my tour time?
Please arrive at your reserved tour time. If you arrive late, we will do our best to accommodate you on the next tour but may not be able to do so.
What does the tour include?
The Yaddo tour will include:
Mansion, first and second floor
First floor of West House
Greenhouse Studios
Saratoga Studio
How many tour times will be offered?
Four tour times will be offered: 8:30 a.m., 11 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 4 p.m.
When should I arrive for my tour?
Please arrive no earlier than 30 minutes before your tour time to allow the previous tour groups to depart.
Where do I check-in for my tour?
Check-in tables will be located in front of the Mansion. If you are coming with a group, you must check in as a group.. Please arrive at your reserved tour time.
Are pets allowed?
We love pets but ask that they remain at home.
When was the last Hour Tour?
The last Open House was in 2022.
Will merchandise be available for sale?
Yes! We will be offering pre-purchase options as well as the opportunity to shop the day of the tour.
May I take photographs?
Yes, you are welcome to take personal photos during the tour. However, flash photography is not permitted, and we kindly ask that you remain with your assigned group and respect the time limits of each stop.
